Samuel Eto’o was the undisputed Man of the Match for Chelsea last night, after his hat-trick in the Blues’ 3-1 victory over Man United at Stamford Bridge.

And after exchanging a few pleasantries with John Terry, he has also become a new media darling (coincidence?) in England. Just watch this post-match video above, where the Chelsea captain helplessly tried to translate Eto’o’s words from French to English.
To be fair, Terry did a good job, given the fact footballers get media training and generally spew out the same post-match statements. Well, we all know the “JT is my best mate at Chelsea” line was made up, but it is, admittedly, quite brilliant!
Meanwhile, Nemanja Vidic has declared that Manchester United’s dream for the Premiership trophy is effectively over, after that loss to Chelsea last night. It’s all a little ‘Negative Nancy‘ at Old Trafford at the moment, but isn’t football supposed to be a reflection of life, with highs and lows?
“We are too far behind and we have now to focus on the top three or four. We have to be positive, today we didn’t play a bad game. They had three shots and scored three goals and that’s the difference in the game, we have been punished for every mistake we made.” – Vidic
Interestingly, Vidic added that United’s players are increasingly frustrated about questions related to David Moyes, who has received the bulk of the blame for the club’s seventh position on the table. Moyes has been taking the ‘Arsenal way out’ (we mean that in a positive way) and highlighted that he was interested in the club’s long-term goals as opposed to short-term solutions.
“We cannot always speak about managers, the players are tired of speaking about that because the manager is trying to do the best he can. Tactically we did well today.” – Nemanja Vidic
