Real Madrid vs Barcelona : Jordi Alba’s Birthday, Ancelotti’s Army Returns And Gareth Bale!

jordi1alb31 A few things happened ahead of el clasico this week, including Jordi Alba’s birthday, that was aptly celebrated by Neymar, Alex Song and even Dani Alves. 25 is never too old for balloons… in fact it’s the perfect age to go completely berserk with them in every colour possible!

Jokes aside, Real Madrid will square off against Barcelona in Top of the Table battle set to excite. We know you’re rolling your eyes, but only four points (and Atletico Madrid) separate these two, and the Blaugranas know they need a legitimate win – and all three points – to ensure they’ll at least be one point away from Real Madrid.

Still, it’s a home game for Ancelotti’s Army (that was the name rolling off our tongues in 2007 for AC Milan!) and they have all the advantage here.

Also, in what’s set to be positive news for Madrid, Gareth Bale is set to return for Monday’s match in Gerardo Martino’s first game at the Bernabeu. Indeed, the Gods of Football are listening, and it’s going to be an exciting return for him, especially if you believe Victor Valdes.

“He is at an optimal level of fitness and confidence and Madrid are seeing that in his play. It is the Gareth Bale we are used to seeing play in England with more efforts on goal and they are also letting him take free-kicks. He is a very dangerous player and Madrid are taking advantage of that.” – Valdes

Luka Modric, Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzema should also start after being rested against Schalke in the midweek Champions League encounter. Remember, if you’re looking to buy Barcelona tickets or Real Madrid tickets, it should not be too difficult!
