It’s time to take out those extra Piñatas, futbolitas! We’ve got an exciting year ahead of us and don’t act like as if you’re done with all that confetti ok, por favor. Here’s looking at what we have in store for you this year so read on….

Elano Phelps, is that you?! It’s day five of the selecao boot camp and manos enjoyed a bit of a splash yesterday.
Anyway, the 11 players who faced Uruguay yesterday did recovery work which included stretching and muscle relaxation therapy in the pool with physiotherapist Luiz Alberto Rosan. As you can see, Dani Alves and Robinho are clearly enjoying it. And based on the other photos, Gilberto Silva should’ve been a synchronised swimmer… don’t you think?
As for the the other 12 players who did play against Uruguay, they focused on physical fitness exercises under the guidance of Paulo Paixão, who is pretty badass if you ask us.

Bebê Pato is set to marry Sthefany Brito on July 7 at the Copacabana Palace hotel according to official reports from Brazil. However, her mother, Sandra Brito, has confirmed that the wedding ceremony will “not be for 1000 or 500 people.” Instead, it will be a close-knit affair for close family and friends. There will also be a cocktail reception and an open bar for the 1000 Glossx and webcam wannabes waiting outside. Two rooms have been booked at the hotel and dinner for the guests, according to O Globo (this is just speculation) is estimated to cost US $450,000.
Anyway, Sthef will be flying to Milan today to meet Pato and still doesn’t know if she’ll be wearing a dress designed by a Brazilian or an Italian. We’ll have more on that once it comes in…will it be a Roberto Cavalli or a Dior, like Caroline Celico? They should just get married in green and yellow.
We understand that this is wrong to many as Pato is still a fetus and should just concentrate on his career. But since they love each other so much, why not? The boy is lonely in that Milan apartment and needs a wife to keep him from doing all that webcam shizzle!
And as a Brazilian friend once said, “Here in Brazil, you may be married but you’re not dead!” Totes!

Check out Julio Cesar and the rest of the Inter squad celebrating his ’seventh year anniversary to actress Suzana Werner’ last night – at a nightclub in city Figo and his ferosh wife – Helen Svedin – were in attendance. We’ve included a bonus photo of the couple…

Sorry about the screwy site bandwith problem earlier guys! Everything should be back to normal now – including Rafael Nadal’s hair.

1. Madrid defeat Valladolid. Barbie Doll’s boyfriend, Sergio Ramos was caught ditching the game for a Bullfighting event.
2. Kun and Simao score for Atletico.
3. Senna to miss Arsenal’s meeting against Villarreal.
4. Adriano’s ‘real antics’ revealed by Brazilian newspaper. Supposedly.

Many of you will find it hard to believe that we went shopping with Alexandre Pato when he was here – but it did happen! We’ve got loads to share about it but that’s for another day.
Anyway, for the first time, amigo has opened his doors of his Milan condominium to Galvão Bueno, who is filming a special for Brazilian TV called “Na Estrada com Galvão” on the lives of footballers. The latest episode features the Brazilian starlet as he speaks about life overseas, his relationship with Silicone Brito (including never-before-seen photos. Oooh!), his neighbours – most of whom are Milan players and his childhood. It is a dramatic interview – and we will try to post a transcript here once we get a hold of it.
Looking at the photos, we’ve found a great spot to bunk at for a lazy afternoon! Até breve!

And it’s time to check in with the Argentinean señors. Si Futbolitas, we know you can’t keep your eyes and hands off the screen at the sight of slick-haired Gago at the far end. Quickly, find a chair!
The squad will play Venezuela on Saturday and after two friendly wins against Scotland and France, Maradona is hoping to enforce an offensive scheme. The Argentinean press are reporting that he’s planning to field the trio of Tevez, Kun Aguero and Lionel Messi upfront. Maradona has said that Riquelme’s departure from the squad might spell a change of strategy.
In other news, Mascherano has revealed that he spoke to Riquelme recently about his decision (oh finally, someone who acts like an adult!) Sadly, in the photos below, Veron and Kun look like they’re masterminding something evil.

1. Corinthians Dream of Zidane-Ronaldo pairing. Uh, dream on?
2. Mourinho fined €10,000 by the Italian league.
3. Dani Alves is happy at Barcelona and will not be going to Chelski.
4. Joaquin says Valencia should sell the two Davids. Ooh, controversia!

Señor Lucas Leiva is happy at Liverpool – contrary to reports published in the World’s most trusted newspaper. He was said to be exasperated that his lack of starts for the Reds would jeopardize his chances for the national team.
“I never thought about leaving Liverpool. I have three more years left in my contract and I am very happy here. Also, my girlfriend loves the city and everyone in the club supports me,” the midfielder said.
On hindsight, Leiva, who is a box-to-box midfielder, may find it difficult to feature in Dopey’s squad anyway. Don’t forget, we have Hernanes too!

Argentinean defender, Gabriel Heinze, has come out to say that the national team simply cannot afford to disappoint Maradona after all that he has done for them.
“We looked for Maradona and saw the greatest of idols. We were impressed by him in the dressing room, as a coach. We listened with absolute attention. He speaks a lot. When his views are expressed, all are silent. After his speech in Scotland, we went into training and wanted to play very well,” he told L’Equipe.
“In the past, the team could not afford to disappoint the national coach. Now, we cannot disappoint (an) idol,” Heinze added referring to Maradona.
Ok, hombre. We get your point – but Gianina’s already taken.
