Marco Reus wins EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Bundesliga Player of the Month

Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus has been awarded the Bundesliga Player of the Month for November by the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) in cooperation with EA SPORTS FIFA 19.

His form in November certainly put him in strong contention as he scored three goals in three games — as well as an assist, which kept the league leaders rolling at a stunning average of just under three goals per game this season.

These statistics brought his season total to nine goals and six assists, providing further evidence of his contribution to the team’s success. A true match-winner, the Dortmund captain is leading by example as his team continue to dominate the league, both in terms of results and levels of performance.

Following Borussia Dortmund’s impressive form, in which they picked up three wins from three in November, including a 3-2 victory against defending champions Bayern München, it was no wonder that a BVB player won the title of ‘Player of the Month’ for the third time in a row. Whilst Marco Reus won the award back in September, teammate Jadon Sancho picked up October’s award.

Reus took the award ahead of other nominees including Eintracht Frankfurt teammates Sebastien Haller, Ante Rebic and Luka Jovic and Borussia Mönchengladbach duo Thorgan Hazard and Alassane Plea.

Earlier this week, Achraf Hakimi won the ‘Rookie Award’ for November, which is presented jointly by Bundesliga and TAG Heuer on a monthly basis to the best up-and-coming Bundesliga player.
